“Da war doch noch was ... Wenn die Muttergottes erscheint” (There was something else I wanted to tell you ... When the Blessed Virgin Mary appears")

A 52 minute documentary about apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary is in preparation for ORF (kreuz & quer) and will be on air at December 6^th, 2011 on ORF 2. Marian apparitions are visions that are circulated and witnessed by certain people. Since 1830, there have been an increasing number of these apparitions within the Catholic Church. The documentary follows two tour groups on pilgrimages to popular locations for Marian apparitions: Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzogovina and Lourdes in southern France, and explores the phenomenon from a theological and social philosophical viewpoint.
