Today the tausend Rosen subsidiary Rocketbike ARVR GmbH released a closed beta of booomVR for Oculus Rift & Oculus Touch.
Selected users were granted access to the booomVR app and can test features that the developers are not yet ready to share. The feedback from these first users will help with the preparations for an open beta by the end of the summer.
booomVR is a virtual reality online platform for displaying images and videos as well as interactive 3D virtual environments and 3D objects. Various internet content can be browsed, collected and curated in real time with a user-friendly VR interface. booomVR makes it easy to surf, organize and share a wide variety of 2D and 3D content ranging from stereoscopic 360° videos and images to internet streaming.
The development of booomVR was supported by aws impulse XS from the Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy and administered by aws.
